My Sister Knits’ eagerly anticipated shipments from HipKnitShop in Norway have arrived! We are the only shop in the United States to carry this fun yarn. It’s fun for several reasons. The colorways put a smile on your face, their patterns written for their yarn are joyful and whimsical, and the Hip Wool and Fluff knit up quickly!

My Sister Knits received a shipment of two huge boxes last week. We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting some more for this yarn! The big question was, “where are we going to put it?”

The Two-Point Cowl that is on display at My Sister Knits is a Churchmouse Classics pattern. It’s modeled after their Easy Folded Poncho that over 4,500 people have made.

First there was Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted. A workhorse of a yarn available in so many colors, perfect for children’s and adult garments and accessories. It is a go-to mainstay of many knitters’ preferred yarns.

If you haven’t seen the Teenie Weenie Beanie video, watch this before you read on! It will have you laughing and dancing in your seat! Fortunately, the knitting world takes note of such things and Jean-Philippe Cliche was inspired to design a Teenie Weenie Beanie based on this video!

Julie has chosen a marvelous new yarn for My Sister Knits! Leading Men Fiber Arts caught her attention at Interweave Yarn Fest. After talking to Steve and Andy, two of the nicest men in the yarn industry, she snapped some up and ordered more!

There’s something about a new book or magazine that makes it enticing. Sometimes it’s the smell of the pages that draws us in. Other times it’s the allure of the information inside. It could also be the anticipation of delightful time spent perusing the articles and photographs.
