My Sister Knits has just received a shipment from Blue Sky Fibers! If you happened to be in the shop on Tuesday you most likely saw our new yarn spread out everywhere! All of the gorgeous colors were on display!

We have three new yarns for your knitting pleasure! Emma’s Yarn, and two bulky yarns from Woolfolk, Flette and Luft.

Cables Galore!
It’s January and cold and My Sister Knits has an abundance of hat samples! This is the ideal time to make a new hat! While you’re at it, make one with cables! Hats are a great way to try out new techniques as they work up quickly and let you try your new skill on something small.
Knitting Resources
Picture this: it’s 5:30 on a Saturday evening. You have a knitting question that must be answered before you can go any further. My Sister Knits won’t be open again until Tuesday at 10:00. What to do?
Shibui Knits + Les Garcons Collaboration
My Sister Knits has a trunk show with five never-before-seen designs and three brand new colors! We are the first yarn shop to display these items; the patterns were published Thursday, January 13th.
Color-Choosing Tips for Colorwork
Colorwork! Oh, the fun! There are an array of techniques that use different colors in one project: blocks of color, stripes, mosaic, stranded, intarsia, entrelac. All of these will give your project visual interest and it’s so pleasing to watch the design unfold!
New Year, New Projects!
January is full of promise and enthusiasm! We get to look at what we want our next twelve months to bring us and how we want them to unfold. It’s an exciting time of anticipation in regard to our knitting!
January Sweater Class!
You can start 2022 by knitting a Kordy sweater! This sweater is from the Moon and Turtle book that is so popular. ‘Moon and turtle’ is a Japanese saying similar to ‘chalk and cheese’, meaning that even though two things look similar in some way, they are in fact completely different. Each design in this collection offers variations that create a different version of the original pattern!
Laine Magazine, Winter 2022
The Winter 2022 edition of Laine magazine has arrived at My Sister Knits! This eagerly awaited international knitting magazine encourages you to sit down with a hot beverage while you spend some time delving into it.
Shibui/Camp Color Trunk Show!
We would like to bring your attention to our Shibui/Camp Color trunk show! Camp Color is Shibui’s sister company with entirely different colors.
Made in the USA!
While we have beautiful yarn from all over the world, the My Sister Knits staff treasures yarn that is made in the United States.
Crunching Leaves Cowl
My Sister Knits presents the softest, warmest, prettiest cowl ever! In addition, it is quick to knit and a perfect gift! Carol had this on the other day and I immediately fell in love.
Gifting Season Is Upon Us!
My Sister Knits has something new for you this year! Our idea will make purchasing gifts for you a breeze.
Join Us!
Our November classes are an enjoyable way to expand your knitting skills and meet new friends! We have an array of classes for your benefit. Don’t worry if the class might be beyond your current skills. There’s only one way to find out! If it’s something that you dearly want to do, take the class!
It's Shawl Season!
As I sit down to write this, it’s blowing a gale outside! The leaves have been so pretty this year but most of them are on the ground now. The daytime temps are dropping fast, autumn is truly here, and I’m thinking of which cozy shawl I want to knit!
Pacific Crest!
Pacific Crest is Elizabeth Doherty’s latest pattern, published just this week! Elizabeth is a genius at math and figuring out how to design a top-down sweater that is interesting to knit but not difficult. My Sister Knits is one of the first local yarn shops in the United States to have a sample on display!
A Rare Yarn
Just in! Dreamy Tibetan Cloud from mYak! We love yarns with a good story and this one doesn’t disappoint.
Woolstok Trunk Show!
My Sister Knits has a new trunk show for you! Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok is a tremendously versatile yarn. There are a ton of colors, it becomes even softer after you wash your finished project, it’s hard-wearing, and it shows cables and textured stitches beautifully.
