Woolstok Trunk Show!
My Sister Knits has a new trunk show for you! Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted is a tremendously versatile yarn. There are a ton of colors, it becomes even softer after you wash your finished project, it’s hard-wearing, and it shows cables and textured stitches beautifully.
Blue Sky Fibers sent us five items that show off these characteristics excellently!
The Breckenridge Hat is an easy way to experiment with colorwork! It would be fun to choose colors from one of the Woolstok Bundles; they have three hanks of seven different colors and are perfect for this hat.
The spectacular Gresham Wrap is not only cheerful with these colors, you end up with a sampler of different textures! This wrap is ideal for expanding your knitting skills!
If you’re wanting a sweater reminding you of your favorite sweatshirt that you used to own, the Cromwell Pullover is just the thing! This sweater has a ribbing detail that sets it apart from others and adds style. The relaxed fit and easy-to-knit raglan sleeves make this a good first sweater. The stockinette fabric has superb stitch definition! We see this as a go-to sweater that is kept close at hand and ready to grab, knit with your favorite color!
If it’s cables you’re craving, the Royal Oak Cowl is your answer! When you come into the shop to see it and try it on, you’ll notice how crisp the cables are! If this is your first cable project, be sure you read through the directions and don’t just skim them! Skimming them, as I just did, is not helpful to understanding them! Read them carefully and you’ll do just fine! One of the reasons this is a good first cable project is that the majority of the cables only work with transferring two stitches to a cable needle. This looks like a fun project!
The Janesville Jacket is a loose, boxy color-block garment. As you can see, the sides are not connected front and back which gives this jacket terrific drape and swing! Janesville has only one size so it looks a little different on everyone. Choose your favorite color combination and knit away while watching TV or chatting with friends!
Trunk shows never stick around long as they have to be sent on to the next shop so come in soon to see and try on these goodies!
Make a Gift Day
Mark your calendars and make your plans to come knit on a gift on Wednesday, October 20th! For those of you who work during the week and would love to come to one of these events, we will alternate between Fridays and Saturdays starting in November. Everyone will be able to join the fun and camaraderie while making progress on their project!
Happy knitting,
