New Yarn Just In!

We have three new yarns for your knitting pleasure! Emma’s Yarn, and two bulky yarns from Woolfolk, Flette and Luft.

Emma’s Yarn is only available in yarn shops and is only sold in three shops in Colorado. We have a new shipment of Practically Perfect Sock minis in oodles of colorways!

Mini skeins are easy to use with socks but you may wonder what else to do with them? Here are some ideas:

Woolfolk yarns are special! Anyone who has ever knit with it knows the feel of this yarn is like no other. The Ultimate Merino they use has a feel of cashmere.

Woolfolk sources their yarn from Ovis 21.   “Ovis 21 is a company that regenerates degraded grasslands and protects biodiversity so Patagonia's land can sustain people, their businesses and communities”. In a nutshell, their mission is for farmers to use their land sustainably rather than overusing and depleting it. Here is an interesting interview with Kristin Ford, founder of Woolfolk.

We now have Flette Bulky! “Flette” means braid. This textured yarn is 100% Ultimate Merino that knits up quickly.

We also have Luft, another bulky. Luft is a lightweight chainette tube of extra-fine Pima cotton filled with Ultimate Merino fleece.

For any brioche knitters out there, Mandel would make an ultra lightweight, soft and squishy cardigan for spring! For those of us who aren’t ready to knit a brioche sweater, Skaro is also designed for Luft!

Upcoming Events

With the Larimer County Mask Mandate ending, many of you might be wanting to get out and socialize a bit. We have numerous classes and other events for you to take advantage of.

In February, you might want to take a class on fixing mistakes. You could also attend an hour-long discussion about Ravelry and how to use it. Saturday the 26th come knit with us for the day!

In March you can take our four-session Get Back to Knitting class and have a hat to show for your efforts! You can learn brioche, make a top-down seamless raglan sleeve sweater, or a shawl with a lacey border. These are only a few of the classes offered so be sure to check our website for more!
