My Sister Knits received a shipment of two huge boxes last week. We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting some more for this yarn! The big question was, “where are we going to put it?”

The Two-Point Cowl that is on display at My Sister Knits is a Churchmouse Classics pattern. It’s modeled after their Easy Folded Poncho that over 4,500 people have made.

Meet Maarly, a colorwork cowl designed by Lucia Ruiz de Aguirre. After reading the title, you’re probably wondering why and how you might be motivated by it! Well, let me tell you……

Bits and Bobs is an English term used when you want to say that you have an odd selection of things. That is indeed what I have for you today!

My Sister Knits has a stunning cardigan on display, the Cascade Jacket designed by Lene Rix! Our sample is made with Biches and Buches Le Lambswool combined with Woolberry Berry Mohair, one strand of each held together throughout. Size 10 needles allow you to see progress quickly!

First there was Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted. A workhorse of a yarn available in so many colors, perfect for children’s and adult garments and accessories. It is a go-to mainstay of many knitters’ preferred yarns.

We’ve discovered a hat pattern that is perfect for your school colors! Of course, it will be good for any color combination but we especially love it to show your school spirit!

The kids are back in school learning new things and now is the perfect time for us to set a good example and learn something new also! Towards that end, My Sister Knits has a variety of classes to expand your skills.

Spincycle’s newest yarn, bulky weight Plump, has taken up residence on the landing on our stairs!

My Sister Knits has an exciting new yarn that we found when Julie, Diana, and I went to Chicago in June. It’s the whole purpose of going to a show like that, to find yarn we didn’t know about!

First up, yarn from up-and-coming local dyer Abby of Poppy and Spruce. Abby loves coffee….and her yarn shows it! She has captured the market for coffee colors!
