Woolstok’s Big Sister

First there was Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted. A workhorse of a yarn available in so many colors, perfect for children’s and adult garments and accessories. It is a go-to mainstay of many knitters’ preferred yarns.

Then came Woolstok Light. Made from the same Highland Wool as Woolstok, it is a single-ply fingering weight yarn. This is another great addition to our ‘workhorse’ and all-purpose yarn options. You just can’t go wrong with Woolstok! It has great stitch definition, showing off cables and textures beautifully, in addition to the array of colors available in this strong, hard-wearing yarn.

We can’t forget Woolstok Tweed! This rustic yarn is an Aran weight and has flecks of Donegal tweed added to the Highland Wool that is beloved in the other weights.

Enter brand new Woolstok North, the single-ply, super-bulky member of the family! North hanks are 150g/107yds of soft and squishy goodness. Made from the same Highland Wool as all the other Woolstok yarns, North has delicate heathered colors and knits up in a flash!

Blue Sky Fibers always has patterns designed for their yarns and North is no different. The first of the samples that you’ll see on display at My Sister Knits is the Winnipeg Hat, designed by Bobbi Intveld. This free pattern can be made with or without earflaps that are added at the end. The pattern suggests size 13 needles and you can make either hat with one hank. Instant gratification!

We invite you in to see what new samples we have of this brand-new yarn!

Happy knitting,
