 My Sister Knits has some new items that will put a smile on your face and cause happiness when you use them! We think everyone can use a little bit of happiness right now.

The My Sister Knits community is highly anticipating our upcoming delivery of Re:Designed project bags and needle organizers. Re:Designed is a Danish company whose motto is “consume less, buy better”. Danish design has a few foundational principles. They believe that objects should be both beautiful and useful, creating a balance of form and function. Danish designers value natural materials chosen for their durability and the way they age. Long lasting items are greatly valued.

It’s almost Halloween, holiday season has arrived, and in no time we’ll be seeing red and green everywhere; decorations, clothing, lights twinkling on houses. I’ve decided to embrace the holidays this year with fun and imperfection.

We are just loving the continuing trend of small scarves that perfectly go around your neck! There are so many of these designs and we’ve found another one that was just published in September. This one is called the Riptide Scarfette and was designed by Jennifer Shiels Toland.

What do you do when you finish a project? Do you dive right into another one? Or is it like reading a book or watching a movie; when you finish it, you might want to think about it for a while before you start another one. I always feel a bit at loose ends when I’m done with a project, before I start another.

Today, My Sister Knits is giving you a feast for your eyes! Two fun hats have come to our attention!

Both of them use garter stitch; one uses one strand of fingering weight yarn, the other uses two strands of fingering weight yarn held together.

Spincycle’s newest yarn, bulky weight Plump, has taken up residence on the landing on our stairs!

My Sister Knits has an exciting new yarn that we found when Julie, Diana, and I went to Chicago in June. It’s the whole purpose of going to a show like that, to find yarn we didn’t know about!
