Put a Smile on Your Face!

My Sister Knits has some new items that will put a smile on your face and cause happiness when you use them! We think everyone can use a little bit of happiness right now.

First, two new notions from a company called Degen. Who could resist such a darling tape measure with a smiley face on it? It’s well made, feels good in your hand, and even the measuring tape feels nice. It’s fun! There’s also the cutest little needle gauge in a flower shape! It measures needle sizes 0 to 9 and is so pretty. It might be time to upgrade to something both pretty and functional!

We also have some new yarns that will add a touch of fun to anything you make. They are all meant to be used with another yarn.

Our supply of Make It Tweed has been replenished with a multitude of colors! This thread weight yarn adds a touch of whimsy to anything you put it with, from a baby hat to an adult pullover. Tanis Lavallee has designed a cozy sweater, Pink Peppermint, that uses CaMaRose Snefnug with a strand of Make It Tweed.

Make It Rainbow Glitz will add some glittery shimmer to any project! The Make It Tweed and Make It Rainbow Glitz come from Denmark.

I’ve saved what might be the best for last! We think we’re the only shop in the US that carries this special yarn. It’s from Norway and has sequins! The name of the company is Strikkefeber and translates to ’knitting fever’ or ‘knitting craze’. Evidently this term is often used in Norway to describe an intense passion or obsession with knitting.

We have two Strikkefeber yarns: Disco and Glitter & Stas (glamour). Disco is made of cotton and has large and small translucent sequins scattered throughout. Glitter and Stas is polyester and has mini colored sequins of the same size throughout. You’ve got to come into the shop and see the brilliant colors! The red is absolutely stunning.

You are cordially invited to My Sister Knits to ooh and aah over these fun yarns to add to absolutely anything and everything. And just to add another smile to your face, listen to this fun knitting song! The lyrics are in the comments below the video.

Happy knitting,
