Several years ago I was in Ireland and was surprised and disappointed to learn that there wasn’t much Irish yarn. I thought there would be loads of it. The person I was talking to said that their wool was too rough and their sheep were mostly raised for meat. 

However, Julie found an Irish yarn company, Eriu, that is changing the reputation of Irish yarn! 

My Sister Knits has a new yarn for you! We’ve had our eye on this yarn company for a couple of years and now we have some of their extra-special Yak DK. The Camellia Fiber Company, as you might guess, is located in the south, Tennessee to be exact. The Camellia flower symbolizes different things in different countries but here in the US it symbolizes beauty. Their yarn is indeed beautiful and aptly named!
