As promised (part two)

We have more fun photos of samples sent to us by our friends "across the pond".  We have come to love the darling patterns included in Erika Knight's Knit for Baby pamphlet.  You may have seen similar sweaters in the shop over the past several months each sporting dashing elbow patches of Liberty fabrics that Julie has found on her travels. erika knight 05All three of these little knits can be made with Erika Knight's British Blue Wool.  We have a large selection of her sophisticated colors, and each skein is $8.  The sweater can be knit up with 5-7 skeins using US 4 and US 5 needles.  The striped legwarmers and the hat each call for 1 skein of 2 different colors.   The little flower is our favorite. erika knight 04Last but certainly not least, we have a stylish vest that has been gathering its fair share of attention.  The pockets and beautiful shawl neck make this vest a winner, and the alternate color on the back has everyone taking a second look. erika knight 02erika knight 03           This is Frontenac designed by Julie Hoover. It has been knit up with Erika Knight's Vintage Wool which is $12.00 per skein. Vintage Wool is a wonderfully soft 100% British made yarn.  It is easy to work with, it has excellent wearability and comes in a gorgeous palette of muted colors that we have come to expect from Erika.  This Aran weight yarn has 95 yards per skein. We hope that you can stop in to see these special samples in person.  Getting a chance to try them on and select yarn in person makes all the difference.
