New Year, New Classes!
Classes! We have classes for you!
First up is the Cable Brim Beret, offered Tuesdays, January 17, 24, and 31 from 6 - 8. If you watched any Hallmark Christmas movies this year, you know berets were in abundance! They are so much fun to wear and add a little extra ‘something’ to your outfit. The cable brim detail sets this hat apart from others!
Your snazzy beret will fit you perfectly because you’ll work from a recipe for fitting. You’ll also learn how to calculate increases and the formula for decreasing to a pretty crescent.

Next, we have Sweater Weather Socks, offered Wednesdays, February 1, 8, and 15 from 10:30 until noon. These socks are made with DK weight yarn and are knit cuff down. This design features lovely lacey leaves down the front and onto the top of the foot.
You’ll learn the German Twisted Cast On, twisted stitches, reading lace charts, and the Kitchener stitch. You’ll have a fun pair of socks to wear using one full skein and one mini-skein of Brooklyn Tweed’s Amble!

If you’d like to make a cabled hat, the Graywacke Cable Hat is just what you need! This class is offered Tuesdays, February 7, 14, and 21 from 6 - 7:30.
We’ve chosen the perfect yarn to show off the cables on this hat! Walcott’s Origin is delightfully squishy and has fantastic stitch definition. You’ll learn all about cables; how to make them and how to read a cable chart! It’s an opportunity to find out if you want to delve deeper into the wonderful world of cables!

Is trying out Tunisian Crochet on your to-learn list? This type of crochet uses a special hook and combines aspects of both knitting and crochet. Also known as Afghan crochet, it’s faster than regular crochet or knitting because you don’t turn your work, you’re always working on the same side! One row of stitches is a two-row process; one picking up row and one casting off row.
No prior knowledge of crocheting or knitting is needed for this class offered on Saturdays, February 18 and 25 from 3 - 5. You’ll learn the essentials of Tunisian Crochet and a few basic stitches as you make a set of charming retro coasters!

Of course, you can always sign up for classes by calling the shop at 970.407.1461. We invite you to take a class, learn something fun, and meet new people this winter!
Happy knitting,
