Thank You For Leading the Way
To our friends at Churchmouse Yarns & Teas, thank you for being a leader in the knitting community for the past twenty years and continuing to lead during these difficult times. You have inspired countless knitters and crafters, and created an environment where all feel welcome. We were surprised and saddened to hear the brick and mortar side of Churchmouse will be closing.
When Kit opened her lovely, welcoming shop in September of 2000, she wanted it to be a place where people could join together to knit and have a cup of tea. (Kit has always associated a pot of tea with knitting.) Churchmouse went on to develop their own blends of tea, created by the founder of Stash Tea Company and Tazo. Kit also added housewares, stationery, accessories, and pottery made in England to the mix. It didn’t take long for word to spread and people from across the globe made this charming shop a travel destination.
We at My Sister Knits are so grateful to call you friends and to be a part of the Churchmouse community, and we know that Churchmouseyarns.com will provide the same welcoming space and creative outlet for an even wider range of crafters.
We are so excited to see what is next.
