Project description: In A Flurry Hat designed by Jill Zielinski
A colorwork hat knit with 4 colors but only carrying two colors at a time. A great project to get ready for holiday gift giving. Knit up in heavy DK so it works up in a flurry. My Sisters Knits offers kits with pattern and enough yarn to make two hats or a hat and a large pom pom! A coloring page included in pattern so you can arrange your colors to please your artistic eyes!
What techniques will be reviewed/taught: Cast on, Reading color work chart, Decreases, Making yarn pom poms, Trapping floats
This class is for an ambitious beginner/advanced beginner.
Supplies:
In A Flurry Kit or Heavy DK or light worsted yarn: C1 100 yds, C2 25 yards, C3 75 yards, C4 25 yards.
Needles size US 6 18’, size US 7, 16” and 32” for magic loop. Do not buy new needles until discussed with instructor.
Homework: If you would like to do the ribbing of the rim before class in order to get into colorwork sooner, please do. Call Elisabeth to discuss size and needles before starting.

Class Materials/Preparation
Class materials may be purchased for 10% discount before the day of the first class - some restrictions may apply. Project patterns are also available at a 10% discount; no charge for free patterns. Please plan ahead so that we aresure to have what you need and ready for you at your first class!
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your class so the teacher may begin promptly.
Class Size
Csses are usually limited to 6 adults 16 years* and above. Class size is often smaller for beginning level classes and other classes where more one-on-one attention is necessary. We may accommodate larger numbers for lecture style classes and workshops by visiting teachers. * Under 16 years of age needs instructor approval
We also offer kids classes for our younger customers. Parents and kids may wish to schedule a private lesson by calling the store.
Homework
Some classes have homework which needs to be completed prior to the first class. Please check the class description page for homework required. It is also important that you complete your homework between meetings so classes can progress as scheduled.
Payment
Payment is required at time of registration. We cannot reserve seats for unpaid students. You may sign up online using credit card/Paypal; or someone may assist you signing up in the shop. If the class is full - please call to be put on a wait list.
Missed Classes
We are unable to offer free make-up sessions for missed classes or for cancellations. After payment is taken, we cannot credit your class fee if you cancel less than one week prior to your class. No credit will be given if you cancel for a special event class.
MSK Cancellation
We may cancel classes with only one student registered 48 hours prior to first class; and store credit or refund will be given.
