Woolstok Mini Sweater Ornament

Make these cute little ornaments as gifts, or to keep, using the Snowball Buddies pattern bySusan Claudino . Choose a mouse in a sweater, an owl in a hat, a reindeer in a hat, or a bunny, in a scarf

What techniques will be taught? Learn to knit a small sphere using double pointed needles. Knit small ears and wings which may incorporate center double decreases. Make antlers and tails with i-cords. Sew ears, wings, tails and antlers onto the animals heads.

What level of knitting knowledge is required to take this class? Must know how to cast-on, knit and purl, increase and decrease before the class. You should be comfortable working with double-pointed needles and adventurous enough to work on small pieces.

Supplies:

Pattern: Snowball Buddies by Susan Claudino

Yarn: Worsted Weight yarn such as:

• Cascade 220 Superwash

• Foxy Yarn Foxy Wool

• Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted

Pattern lists suggestions for colors for individual buddies - you may also add some leftover yarns of your choices in worsted weight.

Needles: - US 5 - DPNS in short length - 4”. US 5 circular for knitting scarf for the bunny project.

Notions/miscellaneous supplies needed: Removable stitch markers, Darning needle

Optional: Scissors, Measuring tape

Teacher will provide one set of safety eyes and nose per student in addition to small pompoms for reindeer nose and bunny tails, and felt for owl eyes and beak.

No homework is needed other than obtaining required materials.

Class Materials/Preparation
Class materials may be purchased for 10% discount before the day of the first class – some restrictions may apply.  Project patterns are also available at a 10% discount; no charge for free patterns. Please plan ahead so that we are sure to have what you need and ready for you at your first class!

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your class so the teacher may begin promptly.

Class Size
Classes are usually limited to 6  adults – 16 years* and above. Class size is often smaller for beginning level classes and other classes where more one-on-one attention is necessary. We may accommodate larger numbers for lecture style classes and workshops by visiting teachers. * Under 16 years of age needs instructor approval

We also offer kids classes for our younger customers.  Parents and kids may wish to schedule a private lesson by calling the store.

Homework
Some classes have homework which needs to be completed prior to the first class.  Please check the class description page for homework required. It is also important that you complete your homework between meetings so classes can progress as scheduled.

Payment
Payment is required at time of registration. We cannot reserve seats for unpaid students. You may sign up online using credit card/Paypal; or someone may assist you signing up in the shop. If the class is full – please call to be put on a wait list.

Missed Classes
We are unable to offer free make-up sessions for missed classes or for cancellations. After payment is taken, we cannot credit your class fee if you cancel less than one week prior to your class. No credit will be given if you cancel for a special event class. 

MSK Cancellation
We may cancel classes with only one student registered 48 hours prior to first class; and store credit or refund will be given.
