Meditate Cowl(May)

The Meditate Cowl is a lovely cproject that can be made in a single loop to scrunch cozily around your neck, or a double size for extra warmth.  This cowl is made with slip stitches to form tiny bands in a mostly garter stitch pattern. This is knit in the flat from end to end and closed with buttons! (Super cute detail)

This is a fun and easy project once you get things set up! Then you are on cruise control….thus….Meditate!

What level of knitting knowledge is required to take this class? Motivated beginner. Be able to cast on and knit and be ready to go!  Slip stitches will be taught if you are unfamiliar with them. I cord bind off will also be taught. Bring lots of removable stitch markers to help you get started with set up rows.

Supplies: Malabrigo Rios knits up beautifully. If you prefer something fancier you could do a Knitting for Olive Merino held with a Knitting for Olive Silk/mohair.

This pattern can be knit with many yarn options. The choice is yours. We can adjust needle size to accommodate the yarn you love.

Pattern calls for a fingering weight yarn. But anything from fingering to worsted will work. 

Needles:  Depends on yarn you choose.

 Notions: Stitch markers, removable (lightbulb) as well as at least 12 stationary ones (circles or triangles), Darning Needle

Class Materials/Preparation
Class materials may be purchased for 10% discount before the day of the first class - some restrictions may apply.  Project patterns are also available at a 10% discount; no charge for free patterns. Please plan ahead so that we are sure to have what you need and ready for you at your first class!

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your class so the teacher may begin promptly.

Class Size
Classes are usually limited to 6  adults - 16 years* and above. Class size is often smaller for beginning level classes and other classes where more one-on-one attention is necessary. We may accommodate larger numbers for lecture style classes and workshops by visiting teachers. * Under 16 years of age needs instructor approval

We also offer kids classes for our younger customers.  Parents and kids may wish to schedule a private lesson by calling the store.

Homework
Some classes have homework which needs to be completed prior to the first class.  Please check the class description page for homework required. It is also important that you complete your homework between meetings so classes can progress as scheduled.

Payment
Payment is required at time of registration. We cannot reserve seats for unpaid students. You may sign up online using credit card/Paypal; or someone may assist you signing up in the shop. If the class is full please call to be put on a wait list.

Missed Classes
We are unable to offer free make-up sessions for missed classes or for cancellations. After payment is taken, we cannot credit your class fee if you cancel less than one week prior to your class. No credit will be given if you cancel for a special event class. 

MSK Cancellation
We may cancel classes with only one student registered 48 hours prior to first class; and store credit or refund will be given.
