Keep your palms, fingers and thumbs cozy in the Arched Gusset Mittens, a free pattern from Purl Soho. These mittens follow the natural curve of your hand so they will “fit like a glove”. The lovely arch follows the natural life line of your hand. This mitten can be made for toddlers, kids and adults!
What techniques will be taught?
Cast on in the round. Magic loop. Knit two together (K2tog) and SSK decreases. Make one left (M1L) and Make one right (M1R) increases.
What level of knitting knowledge is required to take this class?
Enthusiastic Beginner
Yarn: Light worsted or DK.
Needles: US 4 32 inch for magic loop, or double pointed needles (dpn’s) if you prefer
Notions: scissors, darning needle, stitch markers, and tape measure

Class Materials/Preparation
Class materials may be purchased for 10% discount before the day of the first class - some restrictions may apply. Project patterns are also available at a 10% discount; no charge for free patterns. Please plan ahead so that we are sure to have what you need and ready for you at your first class!
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your class so the teacher may begin promptly.
Class Size
Classes are usually limited to 6 adults - 16 years* and above. Class size is often smaller for beginning level classes and other classes where more one-on-one attention is necessary. We may accommodate larger numbers for lecture style classes and workshops by visiting teachers. * Under 16 years of age needs instructor approval
We also offer kids classes for our younger customers. Parents and kids may wish to schedule a private lesson by calling the store.
Homework
Some classes have homework which needs to be completed prior to the first class. Please check the class description page for homework required. It is also important that you complete your homework between meetings so classes can progress as scheduled.
Payment
Payment is required at time of registration. We cannot reserve seats for unpaid students. You may sign up online using credit card/Paypal; or someone may assist you signing up in the shop. If the class is full please call to be put on a wait list.
Missed Classes
We are unable to offer free make-up sessions for missed classes or for cancellations. After payment is taken, we cannot credit your class fee if you cancel less than one week prior to your class. No credit will be given if you cancel for a special event class.
MSK Cancellation
We may cancel classes with only one student registered 48 hours prior to first class; and store credit or refund will be given.
