My Sister Knits is Ready for Valentine’s Day!

You thought the holidays were over, didn’t you? Have you put every last decoration away? There’s always one that gets left behind. We bet you finished all of your holiday knitting and are taking a breather from deadlines, right?

We take this opportunity to remind you in plenty of time that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It’s so cheery to have pink featured around the shop! Pink evokes feelings of comfort, warmth, and hope just like knitting does. Doesn’t the thought of a crowd of people dressed in pink bring a smile to your face? My Sister Knits is dressed in pink right now and we love it!

Knitting something pink is happy knitting and we have some ideas for you. If you have just a little time, you could make a small triangle scarf. These are chic and oh-so-stylish. They provide a fun pop of color or refined sophistication to any outfit. We have several pattern ideas to offer you!

Maybe you’d rather make a hat. Needless to say, you can make any hat with pink, however, we have some pretty pink samples for you to consider.

You might be looking for a larger project, say a sweater? We have samples to get your creative juices flowing!  Can you see yourself in a bright pink sweater or perhaps a more subdued tone? Maybe you’d just like some pink contrast at the cuffs and hem. Again, set your imagination free! Is there a child in your life who would look totally adorable in a pink ‘something’?

As a former reading teacher, I would be remiss if I didn’t put in a plug for a book that both boys and girls in early elementary school absolutely love, Double Pink. I’ve been thinking of it while I’ve been writing! It was one of my older grandson’s favorites when he was that age.
