Winsome Woolberry!

We are so lucky to have such high-quality indie dyers in northern Colorado! One of these is Woolberry Fiber Co. located in Erie, CO. Woolberry’s yarn is in high demand and we just received a shipment of Bethany’s Berry Natural fingering weight yarn! We’ve been patiently waiting for these beauties for quite some time.

Berry Natural is a non-superwash yarn (more on this in an upcoming post) consisting of 100% Merino wool that is 20.5 microns, meaning it is soft! This yarn also has terrific stitch definition; it will make anything from stockinette to textured stitches to cables shine! We love finding more non-superwash yarns!

While creating her beautiful yarn, Bethany strives to have as low an impact on the environment as possible. She uses professional low-impact acid dyes and all water is reused throughout the dying process to reduce water waste.

During the yarn crawl, on Saturday, August 12th, we’ll have a Woolberry Fiber Co. trunk show with more of her yarns. However, knowing that Woolberry yarns sell out quickly, you just might want to take a peek at what we currently have in the shop!

Yarn Crawl Hours on Saturdays July 29th, August 5th, and August 12th

We will open at 9:00 on those days for your shopping and exploring pleasure!

Knitting Day Friday, July 28th, 10:00 - 4:00

Due to popular demand, we are inviting anyone working on a baby/child sweater to bring it with you! We can have a lovely one-day KnitALong (KAL) while we make progress on those tiny knits.

This pattern is Aimee’s Rainbow, designed by Nadia Cretin-Lechenne. I’m using our new Woolberry!

Of course, everyone is invited to come to Knitting Day (it’s free) no matter what you’re working on! These are once-a-month opportunities to give yourself the gift of distraction-free knitting. You can spend some time enjoying good conversation, laughter, and being around other knitters/crocheters. Come for an hour or the whole day!

If you know you’re coming, let us know at 970.407.1461. If you decide you can come at the last minute, not to worry, we’d love to see you!

Happy knitting,
