Red Stag Fibre Trunk Show

Normally, our trunk shows at My Sister Knits are composed of garments.  This allows us to see how certain yarns look and feel when knit.  None of the sample items are for sale but we always carry the yarn showcased in the trunk show.

Lately, we’ve been turning that idea on its head!  We’ve had a couple of trunk shows composed of yarns that we don’t carry, with a few accompanying samples.  Unlike the garment trunk shows, the yarn is most definitely for sale while we have the trunk show. This is your chance to experiment with different yarns while they’re at the shop for when they’re gone, they’re gone!

We have just such an event going on through the month of February!  Julie has discovered Red Stag Fibre from Conroe, Texas.

Joshua Graff is the dyer/owner of this fledgling company.  He’s expanding and we are delighted to have this trunk show featuring some of his yarns!

The names and colorways of his yarns reflect his love of travel to Europe.  Names like Cottage Sock, Croft DK, and Dachas Sock evoke thoughts of various types of homes.  Passport, Cobblestone, Scottish Thistle, and Welsh Slate, to name a few, bring to mind things that delight the eye when traveling in Great  Britain and Europe.

Joshua and his wife opened a yarn shop a few years ago.  He says, “I decided that one way I could better connect with her would be to hand dye yarn since I do not know how to knit.”  Until recently, his yarn was only available in their shop. We are happy to be able to offer it to you for a short time!

We hope that you can stop in (taking the proper Covid precautions of course) and see his dazzling array of colors from vivid yellow to dusty blue to deeply saturated tonals!

Happy knitting,

Jenny
