It's Hat Season!

My Sister Knits wants your knitting decisions to include no stress, especially during this crazy time we’re having!  Toward that end, we have created kits for three hats so all you have to do is grab and go!

Scrappy Marl designed by Beata Jezek of Hedgehog Fibres

Each Scrappy Marl hat is unique!  This hat uses two fingering weight yarns held together...but they must be different colors which is the fun of the hat.  This is a fantastic use for mini skeins that you don’t know what do to with or any scrap yarn you may have.  It doesn’t matter how much yarn you have, you just use it until it runs out or you want to change colors!  You’ll always be knitting with two colors, changing out one at a time, whenever you want, which will blend the hat together.  This sounds like such a fun project!

We have chosen some colors for the kits but we also have a ‘serve yourself’ basket where you can choose your own four colors.

This squishy hat is an interesting combination of Husdon + West worsted weight Forge and their fingering weight Weld. One color of Forge is held with one of four colors of Weld in the body of the hat. The brim is Forge only. This hat uses the new Autumn/Winter 2020 colors of Tobacco, Mustard, Cabernet, and Dusk. It’s intriguing to watch the marl develop when two colors are held together! The turned back brim will keep your ears nice and cozy during the winter!

Alaska designed by Camille Descoteaux

The use of a gradient for the main color in this fingering weight hat is meant to make us think of the northern lights.  Look at the projects on the Ravelry pattern page and you’ll see the effect!  You can also get a good idea of what color you want your trees to be.  Light?  Dark?  There are 53 pages and 2,000 projects for your viewing pleasure!

The kits for these three hats would also be a thoughtful gift for a knitting friend or relative! We invite you to come in or call us to get your hat kits now!!
