Handmadebywhoo Bags Have Arrived!
My Sister Knits has some new handmadebywhoo bags in the shop! These bags fly out almost as soon as they come in!
Julie found these bags on her travels. They’re made by a sister team from Canada; Erika and Becky. About ten years ago Erika started out by making fabric flags and small children’s fabric baskets inspired by her growing interest in reusing and recycling.
As she learned to knit, her bag designing became more focused on the needs of knitters. She wanted to design bags that she loved to carry around with her knitting in them; bags that were a bit more sophisticated and tailored than some of the knitting project bags available at that time. Her hope was that others would like them also and that is exactly what happened!
As her business grew, she invited her sister Becky to be part of it. It’s a parallel story to Julie and her sister Diana!
Erika feels as if they are still in the early stages of handmadebywhoo bags and is excited to see where her business goes. She and Becky delight in designing new bags and we delight in the results!
These bags come in several shapes and sizes, one for every need! They are exceptionally well made; come in and examine them! Even the smallest holds more yarn than you think is possible at first glance! And the pockets! They are the best size….have you ever purchased a bag with pockets so small you can’t get your hand in them? Not these!
One thing to realize, though, is that the leather straps just might shed a bit onto the fabric while your bag is still new. This will subside and, if it bothers you, the best way to deal with it is to use a lint brush while it’s shedding. It’s all part of the charm!
We hope you make it into the shop while the selection is still good!
