Yarn Crawl Time!

Plan now for the Hot August Knits Yarn Crawl, July 29th to August 12th!  I don’t know about you but it often sneaks up on me. I want to be sure to visit all of the shops during the two-week event so I’m going to start planning and get it on my calendar!

A yarn crawl is when a group of yarn shops band together and invite crafters from all over a region to visit their shops during a certain period of time. There are usually special happenings at each shop and it’s fun to participate! Oftentimes groups of friends travel together although it’s also fun to do it on your own.

This marks the 14th year of this particular yarn crawl, with seven shops you can visit and learn about!

Besides yarn, see our selection of project bags!

How it works:

Go to the Hot August Knits website and click on the Map page to plan your route. You will most likely need two days to hit all of the shops.

At the first shop on your route, you’ll scan a QR code that takes you to an online form to fill out. This is the start of filling out your digital ‘passport’. As you visit each shop, scan their QR code to get your ‘stamp’ for that shop. When you have visited all the shops and scanned their code, you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win prizes! Gorgeous baskets filled with all sorts of yarny treats!

If you don’t have a phone with a QR code scanner, each shop will be able to help you with that.

Check out our brand new alpaca pompoms from Toft! Such colors!

We encourage you to plan your route, perhaps invite some friends to go along, and get the dates on your calendars!

Happy knitting,
