Take a Class!

What would you like to learn to enhance your knitting skills? My Sister Knits has a variety of classes available!  These are fun because you meet like-minded people who want to learn along with you! 

They are full of focused attention, laughter, and new friends. Most of our classes are offered either Tuesday evenings or during the day on Saturdays. Some are one session only and some may be as many as four sessions. 

We strive to have something for everyone. We almost always have a one-session Learning to Fix Mistakes class one Saturday a month, which is invaluable no matter what type of project you want to knit! We also offer a two-session Basic Knitting class or a four-session Get Back to Knitting class on a regular basis.

Knitting Conversations

Hear about the ergonomics of knitting and learn how you can avoid repetitive stress injuries!

Weaving in Ends

Get some tips on this either loved or despised necessary task!

Dip your toes into all sorts of techniques with this lightweight sweater. A little bit of lace, a few short rows, a tubular cast on, and a tubular bind off are included in this pattern!

This is a lovely warm weather accessory! Using linen, cotton, or a light weight wool this mesh scarf will increase your confidence with yos (yarn overs), K2Togs (knit two stitches together), SSKs (slip, slip, knit) and KFBs (Knit Front and Back).

Making your first pair of socks using heavier DK weight yarn and larger needles is a fantastic way to venture into the world of sock knitting! You’ll learn the techniques for creating a top-down sock using either the Magic Loop method or Double Pointed Needles; you get to choose!
