Jolly Holiday Classes!

My Sister Knits has some more holiday fun for you! We have a few classes that might tempt you in November and December.

Would you like to crochet a retro ornament? This class is for people who have some basic crochet skills. You need to know how to make a chain, slip a stitch, single crochet, and double crochet. These darling ornaments are made out of brightly colored cotton. Supply kits are available at the shop! This one-session class will be offered Wednesday, November 16th from 11am - 1pm and again on Saturday, December 3rd from 2-4pm.

Pom poms and tassels are so much fun to add to a gift! Plus, they’re a great way to use up some of those leftover bits of yarn. In addition to putting them on a present, you could add them to shawls, hats, keyrings, bags, anything you can come up with! Saturday, December 3rd from 10 until noon is the only time this will be offered!

Someone you know might need a luxuriously soft, quick-to-knit headband! This headband has an intriguing cable design and the materials list on the pattern includes a crochet hook. There’s a mystery here! Our pink sample is made with Shibui Knits Murmur and the gray one is made with Woolfolk Far. This two-session class is offered on Tuesdays December 6th and 13th from 6-7:30pm.

The Lotus Brim Beanie is our last offering of the year. This lovely hat uses two colors of Super Bulky weight yarn and size 11 and 13 needles. Go to the Ravelry pattern page and also take a look at the projects for color inspiration! In this one-session class you’ll learn how to knit in the round and how to create the Lotus Flower stitch in addition to decreases and how to finish the hat. This class is offered on Saturday, December 10th from 1 - 4pm.

You can sign up online or call the shop at 970.407.1461 to register for some jolly holiday fun!

Upcoming Knitting Day!

Friday, November 18th is our next monthly Knitting Day from 10 until 4! Come and work on a project for an hour or the entire day! This is always such a fun day, we’d love to have you join us for some interrupted time to work on a project!

Happy knitting!
