A skill level is listed for each class – teachers will assume all students entering the class are familiar with the techniques specified for that level. Some classes have specific prerequisites – please read the class description carefully. If you have questions, please contact us before registering.


You’ve never done this before – We will start from scratch.

Advanced Beginner.

You know the basic elements of knitting and are ready for your first real project. To take these classes, you should already know how to knit, purl, cast on, and bind off.


You are comfortable following a basic pattern and are ready to tackle new techniques. To take these classes, you should already be able to comfortably knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase, decrease, and knit in the round.


You are comfortable following most patterns and just need some guidance on the more complex techniques. To take these classes, you should already be comfortable with most aspects of knitting, including cables, lace, and shaping.

Class Materials/Preparation

Class materials may be purchased for 10% discount before the day of the first class – some restrictions may apply.  Project patterns are also available at a 10% discount; no charge for free patterns. Please plan ahead so that we are sure to have what you need and ready for you at your first class!

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your class so the teacher may begin promptly.

Class Size

Classes are usually limited to 6  adults – 16 years* and above. Class size is often smaller for beginning level classes and other classes where more one-on-one attention is necessary. We may accommodate larger numbers for lecture style classes and workshops by visiting teachers. * Under 16 years of age needs instructor approval

We also offer kids classes for our younger customers.  Parents and kids may wish to schedule a private lesson by calling the store.


Some classes have homework which needs to be completed prior to the first class.  Please check the class description page for homework required. It is also important that you complete your homework between meetings so classes can progress as scheduled.


Payment is required at time of registration. We cannot reserve seats for unpaid students. You may sign up online using credit card/Paypal; or someone may assist you signing up in the shop. If the class is full – please call to be put on a wait list.

Missed Classes

We are unable to offer free make-up sessions for missed classes or for cancellations. After payment is taken, we cannot credit your class fee if you cancel less than one week prior to your class. No credit will be given if you cancel for a special event class. 

MSK Cancellation

We may cancel classes with only one student registered 48 hours prior to first class; and store credit or refund will be given.

Returns accepted within 30 days with receipt and in original condition.  Store credit will be given.

Special orders taken with payment; no returns on special orders.

No returns accepted on sale merchandise. 

Flat rate shipping is 9.95 for orders under 100.00 for locations in the continental US. Any overseas order will be calculated and shared before sale completion.
