Join Amelia to learn to knit the beautiful Skogafjall colorwork sweater. Throughout the three session class, you will learn to work a provisional cast on to work up the yoke of the sweater, with short rows, two color stranded colorwork and decreases. This is a great class for an advanced beginner, as the only necessary skills are knitting and purling, with experience working in the round being a bonus. The option to turn the pullover into a cardigan by steeking will also be offered.
Come in before class and pick out your yarn and get a printed copy of the pattern – Skogafjall by Dianna Walla. Recommended yarn is Istex Lettlopi, number of skeins required will vary based on the size you are knitting. Yarn substitutions only available with instructor approval, prior to the first class session.
This is a three-session class occurring on January 20, 27 and February 10.
