Have Some Fun with Notions!

When was the last time you indulged in an affordable luxury and bought yourself a new notion? My Sister Knits is full of whimsical little lovelies that add to your joy as you work with them!

Needle stoppers

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the shop this morning was the collection of new needle stoppers. I’ve also seen them called stitch stoppers and needle caps. Anyway, they’re the things that keep your stitches on your needles when you’re not knitting! We have some of the cutest silicone ones you’ll ever see. I love the way they stay on my needles! Which would make your knitting more fun? The Orcas, Bert and Ernie, how about the yellow submarines? I couldn’t resist the darling little camper and bought that set. I have a set of turtles that I use when I think the project will take me a long time! We have more than are pictured here so come in and choose a set just for fun!

I’m still figuring out my computer issues so bear with me while I learn the new photo program!

I’m going to try out the spiral cable needle; it’s so pretty and I think it would be fun to use. Normally I cable without a needle but there are times when one is needed. I have a cable project right now and I’ll report back on how I like the spiral needle!

Do you have a pair of scissors that doesn’t have a sheath? I’m always afraid of poking myself with the ones in my notions pouch. We have the solution for you and it comes in a multitude of colors!

Are you looking for a pair of folding scissors? We have some that are so cleverly designed! Their appealing soft pastel colors will bring a smile to your face when you use them. Try them out for yourself!

If you haven’t tried washing your woolens with a bar of Tuft soap, you’re missing out. Their scents are divine and there is no plastic used in their packaging. We think our fish shaped notions pouches would make anyone happy! The smiley faced tape measure is the first one I reach for because of course I just had to have one. Our latch hook tools are excellent for weaving in ends and picking up a dropped stitch and are beautifully made. There are two sizes, one for lace and fingering weight and one for heavier weights. This video shows exactly how to pick up dropped stitches with it and it’s a game changer! Barber Cords make holding stitches so easy! I currently have at least 3 projects using them and all are different colors.

Coco Knits stitch markers are colorful and come in several sizes and types. While you’re looking at them, take some time to look at the rest of the Coco Knits accessories. Her Maker’s Board is a magnetic standing folder that can be used flat or upright; here are some ideas on ways to use it.The adorable flower needle gauge measures needle sizes from US 0 to US 9 and will add some whimsy to your notions! While you’re knitting, you just might want to add a touch of hygge to your environment by lighting a scented candle. Come in, smell them all, and choose your favorite! Our note cards are all created by local artists. We have a variety of beautiful ones to suit every taste!

As you can see, My Sister Knits carries everything to make your knitting/crocheting time a touch more enjoyable and who couldn’t use a bit more enjoyment in their life?

Happy knitting,
