Thank you!
Yarn Guys Dennis Rinkenberger and Jeffrey Wall paid My Sister Knits a visit this week to help us launch the arrival of three Norwegian Rauma yarns. It was a fun evening filled with show and tell. Dennis and Jeffrey distribute these yarns and know more about these beautiful skeins than anyone else. Here you can see Dennis sharing a stunning version of Stephen West's Earth & Sky shawl."Popular with Norwegian knitters for nearly a century, Rauma uses Norwegian wool of the finest quality to produce their yarns. They are great for color work, knitting, or felting. They do not pill. Items made from Rauma yarns last a lifetime and can still look new when they are actually cherished heirlooms, passed down from generation to generation."
Tumi is a sport weight blend of 50/50 wool and alpaca. And these intense shades are perfect for color work where they pop in contrast. We also stock their 100% wool fingering weight yarn: Finullgarn. This yarn's crisp hand will keep color work well defined for years.
Jeffrey also brought a sample of this beautiful cowl of his own design: the Endless Rose Cowl. This gorgeous accessory was featured in Interweave Spring 2015 issue and calls for two or more colors of the fingering weight Finullgarn.
Also from the folks at Rauma is another new arrival: PT5 Sport yarn. This yarn includes a blend of wool and nylon, just perfect for socks of all kinds that will last and last.We had a wonderful time with the Yarn Guys and were delighted with their visit. We'd love to tell you more about their beautiful yarns and patterns when you visit next to check out these lovely skeins in person!
