Stitching for your holiday table
I keep thinking about my holiday table. This past week Purl Bee has been posting some typically inspirational project ideas for the kitchen and dining room like felted thanksgiving oven mitts and clever buttonhole napkins. Dawn and I got talking on Thursday afternoon and I started thinking about table runners. There are some beautiful patterns to be found on Ravelry and found myself inspired by this one created by Mel Clark, the creative genius behind Slip Slip Knit.
Jenny's Tansu Table Runner pattern is free and wonderfully easy to recreate. I have made a small pattern modification that will triple the finished length of the runner.
I am making it with Euroflax sport weight linen from Louet and while it doesn’t look like much on the needles, I am counting on it blocking out beautifully. Stop by the shop this week to see the finished sample and let’s talk about some fun quick knits for your holiday table.
