Show and tell

Our friend Bonnie sent us an email last week so that she could share updates on her recent projects."Just thought you might like to see a couple of finished pics of projects.  I bought the yarn in my trips to drop off/visit my daughter at CSU... I thoroughly enjoy my visits to your lovely shop when we are in Fort Collins."Here you can see her youngest daughter modelling Blue Sky Alpaca's Etched Rio Wrap knit up with the greatly missed Cephalopod Traveller.  This is a discontinued DK weight 100% Merino yarn that we wish were still available.We have some great suggestions for other yarns that would work for this project Blue Sky Metalico that blends alpaca and silk in gorgeous neutral colors that knits up like a dream.She also recently finished a Groovy shawl done in Madelinetosh Pure Silk Lace.  The shawl was knit up for the model's older sister, but we hope that the siblings will share!  We would imagine that Bonnie's girls love their new knitwear and are very lucky to have such a creative Mom.  Bonnie, thank you for your kind note and these beautiful photos.  We love getting a chance to see what our beautiful skeins turn into after they leave the shop.We hope that you'll share project photos with us too.  You can let us know what you are working on in the My Sister Knits Ravelry Group.  And if you aren't able to easily take snapshots, bring your finished projects into the shop and we can help.
