Shibui Knits at Interweave Yarn Fest!

Shibui Knits, the epitome of elegant yarn, will be featured in My Sister Knits’ booth at Interweave Yarn Fest this weekend, March 28th - 30th!

Sandy Barnes of Shibui Knits will be at our booth along with the entire Spring 19 collection which you are welcome to try on!  She will be happy to discuss all things Shibui and help you choose the best yarn for your intended project.

We’re thrilled to have Shibui Knits’ newest yarn, Vine, with us at Yarn Fest!  Vine is like nothing else. It is a wonderful summer weight yarn made of 41% washed paper, 31% cotton, and 28% silk. As with all Shibui Knits yarns, it can stand alone or it can be paired with other Shibui yarns to increase the depth and intricacy of your project.

When DK weight Vine is given a bath it softens considerably but thankfully doesn't disintegrate. The paper component is intriguing!

You'll be able to see Vine in two pieces of the collection Sandy is bringing.

Amos

Amos, a boxy lightweight pullover, is named after singer/songwriter Tori Amos. It combines stripes of Vine alone and Vine combined with Fern, a sport weight matte cotton, to create a stylish spring/summer tee.

Mitchell designed by Sivia Harding

Mitchell, named after singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell, is a spring and summer poncho made with Vine alone. It has a high-low hemline and an angled cut-away shape.

Colorways from left to right: Suit, Ash, Tar, White, Caffeine, and Field

We have transported every single skein of our Shibui Knits yarn from the shop to our booth at Yarn Fest! The Marketplace is open from 10am until 6pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Interweave Yarn Fest brings fiber loving people together from all over the US. It's so much fun just to soak up the atmosphere in the Marketplace even if you don't take any classes. We hope to see you there!
