New to the shop: Lino from Handmaiden Fine Yarns

Remember the huge crush we have had on Breeze?  This laceweight yarn from Anzula is a delicious blend of 65% silk and 35% linen was featured earlier this spring.  We have some amazing samples in the shop that were created with this yarn and they have inspired an interest in lace weight linen blends.  You can stop in to see Paper Crane by Kirsten Johnstone and Itaca by Stephen West.  Unfortunately, Breeze has been backordered for some time while the folks at Anzula are finding a new source for their yarn, and so we have all been a little impatient for some linen to work with this summer.

Well good news!  We got a terrific substitute in this week.

Handmaiden yarns makes Lino, a tweedy blend of silk and linen in the same ratio that we love.  Each skein is almost 900 yards and costs $44.  We have 6 beautiful colors that you’ll want to come in and see.  And we have all kinds of project ideas that we’d love to share with you.
