New to the shop

For those of you who follow us on Facebook, you have probably been enjoying the steady stream of beautiful new arrivals in the shop.  Just in case you’ve missed out, let me show you what’s new!

New colors of Handmaiden Sea Silk are taking our breath away.  This 4-ply fingering weight yarn is a blend of 70% Silk and 30% Plant fiber with a lustrous shine that our friend Jenny used for Churchmouse Yarns & Teas’ Ruched Wrap;  a warm weather accessory that provides silky color without too much weight or warmth.  Each 100 gram skein has 436 yards and is $42.

More fun has arrived from Swans Island. We just received a beautiful spectrum of their brand new Washable Wool Collection. Now their beautifully soft and gorgeously dyed organic wool is machine washable!

They are using a trademarked eco-friendly process which renders it washable in a gentle fashion, using organic enzymes. This process differs from Superwash, which uses chlorine to burn off the wool scales to prevent felting. The yarn retains the hand and luster of the merino fibers so it is the perfect choice for gifts and baby knits.  Each 50 gram skein has 100 yards and knits up at 4 stitches per inch on US 9 needles. They are available at $16.50 each.

This gorgeous sample is the Rocky Coast Cardigan designed by Hannah Fettig and one of the beautiful patterns available in Coastal Knits.  It was knit up with seven skeins of Tosh Merino DK in the worn denim color.  New colors are getting our creative juices flowing and we’d love to help you brainstorm how to use the breathtaking tosh palette.  Each 100 gram skein has 225 yards and retails at $22 each.

More new arrivals are coming every week.  We’d love to have you stop by and visit with us.  It will give us a chance to show you all of the new treats, because it is always more fun to see the colors in person!
