Last minute gifts

Just in case you missed our post last month about a great last minute gift idea, we thought we'd share photos of a second Magnum cowl that Julie knit in one afternoon with one skein of Madeline Tosh ASAP and a tiny bit of another using Size US 15 needles. She cast on 62 stitches, and joined to work in the round.  Julie used a fun bright pop of contrast color yarn for her cast on and cast off rows.  She alternated between knit and purl rows creating a lush garter stitch fabric that is dense and soft.  She continued until she had just enough yarn to cast off.  After weaving in her ends and a quick block, her cowl is ready to go.Stop on by and we can get you started on a cowl of your own.  If you join us for a few hours of knitting during our Community Knit Night this Tuesday, you may have a finished cowl to take home!
