A new Anzula yarn for you to play with
Sabrina's newest additions to the Anzula line are yarns of differing gauges and constructions that all blend Superwash Merino with Tussah silk. (This is silk that is gathered after the moth has left the cocoon. A bit rougher in texture but totally cruelty-free.)Julie got a chance to try several of these new 50/50 blends and decided that her absolute favorite is the 3-ply fingering version: Luster. As you can see, the signature Anzula colors look stunning when paired with the brilliant shine that the silk provides. We dove in and quickly got to work on a sample that would show this yarn to its best advantage.
This is version 2 of Romi's Purless shawl. Her pattern includes instructions for all four of Anzula's new yarns. And this shawl was created with a single skein of Luster using US 3 needles."This lovely shawl begins with a lace diamond and expands outwards to form a triangle. Short rows at the end add an asymmetrical border. Perfect for different weights of yarn! The shawl may be enlarged easily."We hope that you'll get a chance to visit the shop in the near future to see the shawl and these lustrous skeins that are sure to be a hit with knitters looking for something special.
