An Awe-Inspiring Brooklyn Tweed Trunk Show!

Right now, at My Sister Knits, is a trunk show that needs to be seen to be believed!  We have a collection of Brooklyn Tweed sweaters, using Quarry, Shelter, and Loft, that are designed with a ‘his’ and ‘hers’ version.

Created by well known designers, these sweaters each have details that set them apart from the crowd.

Veronik Avery’s Brighton (His) has an all-over texture pattern with tubular edges for a professional finish.

Veronik’s Brighton (Hers) is a slightly cropped sweater with a boat neck.

Veronik has also designed Vika (for Adults), a boxy, oversized sweater whose sleeves fall to mid-knuckle.

Michelle Wang’s Auster (Hers) has a deep, cozy turtleneck with an A-line shape.and kimono sleeves.

Michelle’s Auster (His) has a classic fit with 4-5″ of ease and a modified raglan sleeve which allows the cable pattern to extend to the shoulder.

Julie Hoover’s Carver (His) uses 2 strands of Loft held together to create a custom color blend. It has a slight V-taper from the bottom edge to the chest to create a trim shape along with the loose fit.

Julie’s Carver (Hers) has A-line shaping with 6-8″ of ease and falls mid-hip.

Be sure to inspect Julie’s side seam detail used in both of these sweaters!

Another of Julie’s designs, Cricket (Hers) is a classic with an updated, clever striped rib and delicate neck details for a professional finish. The (His) version is identical but without the waist shaping.

This trunk show contains more sweaters than are shown here.  Even if you don’t foresee sweater knitting in your near future, these beauties deserve to be seen and marveled over; it’s almost like going to a hands-on museum exhibit!

Treat yourself to some time at the shop to see what is possible to create with two sticks and some string.  Hurry, though, as this trunk show must be returned soon!
