Knoble Yarn Fest
Northern Colorado’s newest yarn festival is about to make its appearance! Knoble Yarn Fest will take place Thursday, February 13th through Sunday, February 16th at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Greeley!
Knoble Yarn Fest kicks off Thursday with the exhibitors’ hall opening at 5pm. You will be able to explore familiar vendors along with ones that are likely new to you! Some are from very near to us and others are from outside the United States.
My Sister Knits will have a booth that we are enthusiastically planning! We’re going to take kits, lots of kits, for you to grab and start knitting right away! Our favorites at the moment are the ones with the softest ever chunky yarn from Ikigai (pronounced Icky Guy). This is a blend of 75% Merino and 25% Alpaca and once you start feeling it you can’t put it down! We have a good variety of quick-to-knit kits that come in their own custom felted bags.
We’ll also have pom poms, Cohana accessories, handmade wooden yarn bowls by local artisan Jerry Ertle, and an assortment of bags including the distinctive Plystre bags!
Classes at Knoble Yarn Fest are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The teachers come from as close as northern Colorado and as far away as Spain, Argentina, Mexico, and Peru. This festival will most definitely have an international feel!
The classes cover a myriad of topics including beginning knitting, crochet, rug hooking, advanced knitting techniques, and Portuguese knitting.
Three keynote speakers will highlight the 7pm dinner on Friday. There will also be give-aways from Fort Lauderdale based Urth Yarns, Malabrigo from Uruguay, We Are Knitters, and Budweiser. Be sure to get your tickets before it’s sold out!
We hope to see you and hear about your experiences as you explore the exhibitors’ hall! Make it a point to stop by our booth and say ‘hi’!
