Two Inspiring Events!
Get out your calendars because we have two awesome events coming up!
Explorer Knits + Fibers
This is the yarn company that brings us the National Parks collection! Ali has moved from Illinois to Aurora and she will be at My Sister Knits on Saturday September 28th! She’ll have an Explorer Knits + Fibers pop-up shop from 10am until 1pm.
Ali is bringing three new colorways and we will be the first to see them! Grand Canyon, Sequoia, and Yellowstone will make their appearance that day and we absolutely cannot wait to see them! She’ll also be bringing some dear-to-our-hearts Rocky Mountain National Park colorway.
We will have the good fortune to see and feel several bases. Ali is bringing:
Cashmere Caverns Sock, a blend of 80% superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Nylon
Denali Sock, a blend of 80% superwash Merino and 20% Nylon
Rockies DK, 100% superwash Merino
She will also have some samples for us to see her yarn in finished projects which is always valuable when choosing a new yarn!
Ali dyes all of her yarn in her basement studio. When you knit with her yarn, you know that her hands have been directly involved in the glorious colors of your project!
Ali is dedicated to helping the environment and donates a portion of each Explorer Knits + Fibers yarn purchase to the National Parks Foundation.
Sandy Barnes from Shibui Knits
Sandy will be visiting My Sister Knits on Friday October 11th! We love Sandy and are so happy whenever we can see her! She inspires us when she talks about combinations of Shibui yarns and her love of the company and yarns shine through. We benefit from her knowledge and she is always willing to answer questions and make suggestions.
If you have met Sandy, we are confident that you will want to visit with her and if you haven’t met her, this is your chance to meet a lovely, gracious expert on all things Shibui!
We invite you to put these two delightful events on your calendar and we hope to see you in the shop!
